The Easter Bunny
The tradition started out as the Easter Hare, but later bacame the Easter Bunny. Rabbits reproduce quickly in Spring around easter time, and so are considered a sign of new life. The symbol of new life is why they became associated with Easter. The tradition of the Easter Bunny started in Germany, and was brought to other parts of the world by immigrants.
Don't get a real rabbit for easter, having a rabbit as a pet is a big commitment. Spend time thinking about whether you can give a rabbit all the love, care, time and attention it needs for its whole life. Meanwhile, for Easter, make mine chocolate.
Baby Rabbits
Baby domesticated rabbits are born blind, deaf and hairless. Mothers do not spend their whole day nursing the young, but usually visit them once a day.
